To start the first season of The Office the show opens up with no real indication that you're watching what is supposed to be a documentary of a modern day office for a company that sells paper. The episode strongly focuses on Michael Scott, the branch manager of the office. Early in the episode you see that he is a very quirky and childish man who approaches things with very immature behavior. Later in the episode Michael demonstrates he isn't afraid to take things too far when he pretends to fire the receptionist, Pam. She calls him a jerk and storms out of the room. I would rate this episode 7/10.
